National Petiton to Re-establish the United States Civilian Conservation Corps
Dear President of the United States
We the undersigned Citizens of the United States URGE you, our President, to shepherd through Congress
the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps Act or sign an executive order to re-establish
the United States Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). From
1933 to 1942, the twentieth Century CCC
the largest civilian mobilization and was the most successful federal work program in US history.
The CCC still is the government’s most lasting environmental
effort as well. The CCC demonstrated
that there was absolutely no conflict between the preservation of the environment and the creation of jobs.
The CCC will provide actual green job training, job creation and national
service for future generations.
cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build them for the future!" ~ FDR
